Enjoyable walking under fully blossomed cherry flower

In the middle of this April, I have visited the Shiroishi River in Miyagi prefecture

for the first time,

to enjoy the fully blossomed cherry blossom along the river banks.

Since more than 100 years ago, the people in the area started planting cherry trees

along the river banks to make their town known as a flower town.

Now after a hundred years later, those trees have grown up tall and wide,

and their extended bows and twigs have brought dense blossom in numerous numbers,

which really moved me very much.

Having looked for beautiful cherry blossoms which extended about six kilometers,

I have walked more than 20,000 steps, almost equal to 12 kilometers,

which made my legs wobbled,

but my heart was filled with contentment and gratitude for the planting.
