Blooming advanced by two weeks
It was in 2013 when I drove to Achi village in Nagano prefecture to see “hana momo,”
or peach blossoms for appreciation, for the first time.
I visited there on May 2, in the midst of so -called Golden week,
and could enjoy a fine scenery of the blossoms in their full swing.
Ten more years have passed since then, and I am thinking to revisit the place, glancing a tour brochure.
I blinked my eyes to find that the departure dates for the said place are settled
in the middle of April. Blooming has been two weeks earlier than before.
Why? I hope that it is not under a greenhouse effect.
