Jukkoku -Bune , Sake Breweries and Fushimi Inari-Grand Shrine
During a break in the rainy season,
I went for a ride on “Jukkoku-Bune”, literally mean “a ten-stone boat ”in Fushimi Kyoto.
In the Edo period, the boat was a valuable means of transportation to carry goods to Osaka.
But in this day and season, it is a slow boat ride with a view of hydrangeas blooming on the shore.
It was such a comfortable boat trip with a touch of elegance.
Of course, I also visited sake breweries in that area and enjoy sampled 18 kinds of sake!
While feeling dizzy, still I went to the Fushimi Inari-Grand shrine.
The “thatched-rope” ceremony to purify the body during the summer was just about to begin.
In the blink of an eye, another half year has gone by.
