The same day back in 2019, I visited Kishi station in Wakayama. What’s so special about this tiny station in such a rural area?

The station manager is a calico cat named Tama. He is there just sleeping and looking at the passengers out of the corner of his eyes.

And, the another reason why I visit Wakayama is to purchase green Japanese peppercorn. You can get fresh green unripe peppercorn

only during this period and Wakayama is famous of its production. I preserve them in both salt and soy sauce. I also enjoy the peaceful time

picking the stems of the peppercorn with my family. Wish to resume our annual family event next year.
